Kauai has got to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. Appropriately named The Garden Isle, Kauai is over 6 million years old. Up until around aproximately 300 A.D. Kauai and Hawaii were both uninhabited by humans. Being surrounded by more Ocean than anywhere else on earth the islands existing eco system wasn't very diverse. I have read that new species were introduced to Hawaii every 25,000 years or so! When the first Polynesians arrived they brought with them the necessary plants and animals they needed for survival. With little or no competition the new introductions of flora and fauna flourished. And that is why we see Hawaii today, rich with soaring trees, beautiful flowers, papayas, pinapples, mango, etc. and realize how lucky we are to live here. We believe Kauai of all the Hawaiian Islands is especially sacred. Kauai's Mt. Waialeale, the wettest spot on earth, gentle trade winds and warm waters make the island a natural majestic wonderland. Our mission in helping you plan your vacation is to make your stay one to remember and enjoy so that you return and visit again. There is so much to convey about the beauty and mystery of Kauai and how to best experience it, that I encourage you before you arrive to email me at: taro@kauaifunstuff.com or call (808) 645-1928 so that we can plan the right activities for your vacation. |
